With Medaforum, Cosmobelleza 2007 is oriented towards all Mediterranean countries

Barcelona welcomes the 12th edition of Cosmobelleza, which records the largest number of national and international participants to this date. The tradeshow has become a point of reference in Southern Europe, as a launching platform oriented towards the Mediterranean and generating professional and business expectations.
Cosmobelleza is the meeting point for leading brand names and trademarks in the world of beauty, wellness and fitness. All avant-garde names are to be seen here. This year the tradeshow includes a novelty: the 1st Euro-Mediterranean Cosmetics and Beauty Forum, Medaforum, which will be the best place for professionals of the beauty, hair-salons and wellness centers in Mediterranean countries to exchange information and share experiences. Cosmobelleza is a global beauty event, and for the past twelve years it has congregated actors in the sectors of esthetics and hair care, while these past two years, wellness – spa and fitness – were successful additions.
In 2006, 35 countries took part in this event. And in 2007 the number has grown, as also has the number of participants and brand names. Last year’s records revealed the event was visited by 13, 300 persons of which 49% belonged to the hair-care sector, 38% to the esthetics sector, and 9% to wellness. As usual, for this edition Cosmobelleza has commissioned the publication of a report revealing information on consumption habits in Spain for all sectors involved in the tradeshow. This study, Ipso 2006, released in advance of the show, is a valuable tool for professionals.
We now that all workwear companies marketing products for the esthetics and hair-care businesses enjoyed excellent results in 2006, and not just because they made new contacts. Most of them reported good business volumes as the show closed, because the owners of large, medium-size and smaller businesses find the tradeshow is an ideal place where decision-making is made easier. This year, with more brand names and participants, and the added value of Medaforum, it is foreseen that the number of professional visitors will once again be record-setting.
